Laura Medeiros is an award winning Brazilian writer/producer, born in Porto Alegre and currently located in Los Angeles, California.

 

With a Masters degree in producing from the New York Film Academy and a Bachelor degree in Strategic Design, Laura always looks to develop her projects the most business efficient as possible without ever losing sight of their creative value. Applying such knowledge on a wide range of productions of numerous sizes and budgets both as a line and as creative producer; as well as getting opportunities to work with established film production companies and sales agencies. Laura has also worked as a writer and as a director in a number of other projects, providing her the full extent of a film’s production.

 

Always on the lookout to develop bigger and better projects, Laura has a keen eye for dark stories filled with resilient characters enduring unsettling environments. And by bringing those great stories to fruition, Laura is in the works on making her handprint in this giant industry as she is now developing a dark comedy animated show and a drama feature film telling the story of the behind the scenes of "The Shining".
